I was so excited when Kristen asked me to do her family photos. She said they had never had professional photos done, so I was so honored to be able to do that for her! I have known Kristen since I was in high school in Colorado, but we lost touch when I moved to Las Vegas. When we found out we were moving to Rochester, Kristen got in touch with me and told me she was living here too! I was really happy to know someone and have loved reconnecting with her and meeting her adorable family! We spent the evening at a beautiful orchard picking apples and getting these gorgeous photos!
Can I just tell you how much I love shooting seniors? I love it! It is so fun to get these crazy ideas in my head and watch them come to life, and senior girls are ALWAYS up for whatever I throw at them!
Mariah was no exception. You should have seen her face when I told her I was going to make her sit in the water! She was skeptical at first, but went along with it, and I think the results are pretty fantastic.
The first time I went to Stony Brook I thought to myself, “Man, I really need to do a photo shoot here!” It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen! I knew I wanted to do senior photos there and I wanted to get someone in that water! Kaya was the perfect model for this shoot, and she was such a trooper! She was up for anything, and didn’t think I was nuts when I told her I wanted her to lay down in the freezing cold water.
I am in love with these photos, and I think Kaya looks absolutely gorgeous! She reminds me of a wood nymph or a water Goddess with her white dress and flower crown!
The first time I met Gina, I just knew her photos were going to be gorgeous! I mean, look at her. The girl couldn’t take a bad photo if she tried. It was so fun to get to know Gina, and she was such a trooper! I was freezing my honey off the day of our shoot, but we waded through cold water and tromped through the forest, and she didn’t complain one little bit! That is why I absolutely love shooting high school seniors–they are up for anything and will do what it takes to get a great photo! Gina, you rocked it, girl!
A few weeks ago, we went to Utah to visit Weston’s family. We stayed in a beautiful house on a little lake and had the best time! While we were there, I snapped some photos of my in-laws. Kyley is going to have their second baby any day now and I am so excited to meet him!
